Introduction

This document outlines new features and changes between Document Capture Version one and Document Capture Version two.

All patch information is to be found in its own section following the main version release information. In the past, it was inserted into the main release information, this has changed to make the document easier to review.

Version Notes

Document Capture version 2 brings you a new and improved document submission platform, providing you with the means of securely capturing documents and sending to a Docman Hub for collection by a participating organisation.

Since the first release of Document Capture, we have added a number of new features to make it more user friendly, highly configurable and to enhance the speed of the capturing and sending process.

Document Capture can be used in a number of ways; standalone can be used by hospitals to send documents through the Hub and primary care to send documents to provider organisations.

Version History


New Feature	Intelligent Document Sending to Docman Hub. A new Data Detect feature has been added to Document Capture, providing you with an intelligent way to send patient correspondence to external organisations. Data Detect reduces the time and typing demand when capturing the document, enabling an organisation to reduce administration tasks and redeploy resources elsewhere.
Change	Quick Installation through Microsoft ClickOnce. A change has been made which means that Document Capture can now be very easily deployed using Microsoft’s ClickOnce technology. Document Capture is now self-updating as and when required. For sizeable installations, Document Capture is compatible with common deployment software used by your organisation, for example, Active Directory.
Change	Use Document Capture on any Machine. A change has been made which means that, wherever you choose to use Document Capture, you will have access to your configuration and sent document history on any machine, making it easy to pick up from where you left off.
